Bowmore 12-year Old Single Malt
As Bowmore is often on sale in Tesco, it tends to have a near permanent place in my drink’s cabinet. It is a subtle, smooth, easy drinking whisky with slight hints of honey and lemon. I have just realised I have yet to mention how I drink my single malts … for me it is almost always neat. On the rare occasion, I might dribble some water to help crack open the tastes, but I find most whiskies don’t need this.
Anyway, for me, Bowmore is not the best whisky available but it is good for the price. Here is what Bowmore have to say about it:-
12 Year Old
40% abv |
Puffs of peat smoke and pools of honey, sharpened by lemon zest.
The Bowmore Balance
Reflecting the
essence of Bowmore – thrashing waves, windswept landscapes and generations of
tradition – our 12 years old is both complex and perfectly balanced. Subtle
lemon and sweet heather honey complement Bowmore’s trademark peat smoke,
leading to a delicious, long and mellow finish.
